Women at Work was established in 2005 with the aim of creating a comprehensive database of women running small businesses or working for themselves in a wide range of occupations.

The site offers self employed women a cost-effective way of advertising their business online through the services and product directories.

As a member you can of course post up your events and notices automatically but I'd love to hear from you if you feel you have something newsworthy that I can mention on the home page.

If you want to feature on the site, send me your photograph and some information about what you're up to. Alternatively you may have an article that you feel will be of interest to our visitors ... or a special offer ... whatever it is, let me know.

On the site you'll also find a list of local networking groups throughout the UK. Networking is a fantastic way of getting new business. I run a business networking group for women in Cambridge which has been going for over 3 years now. Check this out at www.cambridgewomen.co.uk.
